There is so much tell and to remember. But I’ll start with now. The plan is to blog through our journeys this fall into 2024, wherever those journeys take us and for however long.

It’s all starting in Portugal, near Ericeira to be a bit more specific. We have fallen in love with the people we’ve met and who have become our good friends there – Tina, Élio, Joao, Paula, Ju, Baby Joao, Mathilde, Mariana, Daniel, Eugenia, so many more! They have welcomed us as family and have taught us so much! We are so grateful to all of them.

Tomorrow, C and I formally embark on learning Portugal Portuguese from a woman who was born in Lisboa but who now lives near us. I am excited by the challenge but it’s a bit daunting. But, I’m going to charge as hard as C charges in the water. Let’s F’ing Go!

Here are a few pics of our journeys over the past few days with our good friends Diana and Charles from Barcelona. We went to Cascais for a day. The Saturday mercado was fun. The town also had a Porsche exhibition in the city, celebrating 75 years of Porsche being in Portugal. Did you know Porsche used to make tractors? I need one of those red tractors!

What a difference a day makes. Saturday was gorgeous and then in an instant it turned fall/winter here. C was up all last night battening down the hatches. Things broke outside, our electricity went out, water is pooling in the yard. So much crazy wind! But, it’s still gorgeous and I’m still having the time of my life.
